Hall of Fame
A member of the Monogram Club, Brewbaker played football and baseball for the Maroons. Although a fine athlete, his real talent was in coaching.
He coached all levels of football, basketball, golf, and track for over 20 years. In 1972, Brewbaker was voted Football Coach of the Year in Lexington. In 1969, he was awarded the coveted Community Leader Award.
He was the longtime Athletic Director and head football coach at Lexington High School (now part of Rockbridge Co. High School)
Has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Virginia Association of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. Served as president of District Coaches Association and State High School Coaches Association.
