Roanoke College

Whitney was a member of the inaugural Roanoke College softball team and a huge part of the program’s many early successes. She led the squad to its first ever ODAC championship and was the first Maroon ODAC player of the year in her sport during her senior year. She also was named Virginia SID player of the year and to the NFCA All-South Region team as well as the third team NCAA All-American team. During her final season, Whitney, who still lives in Roanoke, led the Maroons to the NCAA D-III Softball World Series just four years after the sport’s inception on campus.
