Displayed such great talent in women’s athletics that the "Hud Legend" was created. For four years, Hudson was selected to play in the Blue Ridge Virginia field hockey tournament.
Played intercollegiate basketball four years. Each season on the hardwood, she compiled a notable record which earned her a spot on the All-State team for four years. In 1974, she was selected All-American and led the women’s basketball team to the State Championship.
Also played lacrosse and volleyball and in 1971, her peers and coaches recognized Hudson as the Outstanding Woman Athlete of the Year.
