Roanoke College

A Monogram Club member, Turner captained the tennis team for three years.  He distinguished himself on the tennis and basketball courts while at Roanoke. 

For four years he was a starting guard on the basketball team and a member of the baseball squad during his junior and senior years.  Turner also played freshman and varsity football.

After graduation, he won local and state honors for superlative play on the tennis courts.  
Turner was responsible for the creation of Roanoke Valley golf and tennis championships.
