One of the most courageous and dedicated athletes ever to wear a Roanoke College uniform, Bonham played both football and basketball during his time in Salem.
On the gridiron, he played every minute of every football game for four consecutive years and was named team captain in 1913. He displayed the same endless drive and spirit on the hardwood, playing every minute of 49 consecutive games for the basketball team.
Bonham served the community in such important areas as education, business and civic organizations. He has given dedicated service to Roanoke College as a member of the Board of Trustees.
