Hall of Fame
Clay played field hockey and basketball while at Roanoke, in addition to her responsibilities as editor of the Rawenoch, member of the band and choir as well. She was active in the Women's Athletic Association.
An intramural overall champion, Clay was named field hockey team captain her final two years. She was named to the tournament All-Star team.
Since leaving Roanoke College, her contributions to athletics have been enormous.
Coached basketball in high school, and started field hockey and archery programs, won championships in golf and bowling, and has worked as a recreational therapist at a state mental institution, taught swimming and coached field hockey for the league championship.
