Hall of Fame
Mason earned First Team All-ODAC and Third Team All-American honors in both 1990 and 1991. A four-year letterman and three-plus-year starter for the Maroons, he led Roanoke to ODAC Championships in 1988 and 1990. Mason's play in goal was an important catalyst in the Maroons' run to the semifinals of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
At his time of induction, Mason ranks as follows in the record books: second in career goals against average, fourth in career saves, fifth in career saves/game, sixth in career wins, and ninth in career save percentage. For a single season, he ranks sixth in saves, fourth and seventh in saves per game average, sixth in save percentage, and second, fourth, and fifth in goals against average. In 1990, Mason earned the Paul S. Griffin Award for dedication and leadership and in his senior year was selected as the Roanoke College Male Athlete of the Year.
