FOREST, Va. – Roanoke College earned four Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Athletes of the Week for the week of April 20.

Junior right-hander Baylee Compton earned the ODAC Softball Pitcher of the Week Award. She boasted a 0.50 ERA in two complete-game conference victories against Randolph and Bridgewater Colleges. Compton allowed just seven hits (six singles) in her 14 innings.

Juniors Maddie McDonald and Jordan Wheeler were named the ODAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

McDonald racked up 16 goals and three assists for 19 points on the week. That included a career high eight goals and an assist in RC's 19-6 win over Sewanee. McDonald's mark in that game ties her for third in the program record books in single game goals. She added 16 draw controls, three ground balls, and four caused turnovers to her week's resume.

Wheeler posted 11 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers, and 21 draw controls over three games. Wheeler had a career day against Bridgewater as she recorded six ground balls, six caused turnovers, and nine draw controls to either tie or set a new career mark for herself in every category.

Senior goalie Alex Feuer was tabbed as the ODAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after earning a pair of ODAC wins between the pipes last week. He made seven saves and allowed just two goals in 45 minutes against Bridgewater College Wednesday and followed up with 13 saves in an 11-7 win at Randolph Macon Saturday. Feuer also recorded his first career goal against the Yellow Jackets.
