The Lead: The 4x100 relay team set a new program standard, while
Brady Fowler tied his own school record in the individual 100m in a loaded field at High Point University.
Meet Highlights:
- The 4x100 relay team of Fowler, Amari Carter, Drew Bitzer and Bryson Hill came in second overall with a school and ODAC-record mark of 40.86 seconds, finishing ahead of several Division I "A" teams. Their time currently ranks third in the country.
- Jim Sarsfield's personal-best mark of 52.11m was good for the runner-up spot in the hammer throw. He now sits in second place in the conference and fourth in the NCAA South Region.
- Fowler tied his own school record in the 100m, finishing fifth overall in 10.35 seconds. That time is currently the second-fastest in Division III this spring.
- Matt Garis placed sixth overall in the 5,000m, logging a mark of 15:31.83.
- The 4x400 relay squad of Hill, Elias Ammon, Brandon Heffinger and Lorenzo Camobreco placed ninth overall with a season-best time of 3:20.44, which ranks fourth in the ODAC.
- Cody Roupe landed in ninth in the "A" section of the high jump, recording a height of 1.90m.
- Three Maroons set personal records to finish in the Top 30 of the 1,500m. Garis came in 10th in 4:01.54, followed by Ammon (4:02.68) in 13th place and Ian Fellows (4:07.39) in 28th.
- Dominic McCombs placed 11th in his flight of the pole vault, coming in at 4.10m.
- Drew Bitzer finished 12th in his section of the 100m, logging a season-best time of 10.70 seconds.
- Carter and Bitzer both set personal records in the 200m. Carter's time of 21.49 seconds was good for 13th in the event – and it also ranks 13th in Division III – while Bitzer's mark of 21.59 seconds landed him in 18th place overall and 25th nationally.
- Daniel Graham finished 13th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.73 seconds. He also recorded a 25th-place run (1:01.81) in the 400m hurdles.
- In the 400m, Camobreco placed 14th in 49.48 seconds, followed by Hill (50.28) in 22nd and Heffinger (51.29) in 34th.
- Ammon logged a time of 1:57.02 to come in 15th in the 800m.
- Kellen Bishop finished 27th in the 3,000m steeplechase, clocking in at 11:16.16.
