Event: ODAC Indoor Championship

The Lead: Brady Fowler claimed first place in the 200m, while
Amari Carter and
Dominic McCombs also secured all-conference recognition as the Roanoke men's track & field team placed fourth overall at the ODAC championship.
Highlights:
- Fowler secured his second straight ODAC indoor title in the 200m, setting a meet record with a time of 21.95 seconds. That mark, which set a flat track personal record for Fowler and gave him his 10th overall conference gold medal, moves him up to 18th in the NCAA. Drew Bitzer also scored for the Maroons in the 200 with a fifth-place finish at 22.35.
- McCombs notched an All-ODAC performance in the pole vault, placing third overall at 4.16m.
- In the 60m, Carter recorded a personal-record time of 6.86 seconds to come in third, collecting all-conference honors and moving up to second in school history in the process. Bitzer finished fifth in 6.94 seconds, and he now ranks third in the program record book in the 60 and fourth in the 200.
- Daniel Graham was the fourth-place finisher in the 60m hurdles, logging a time of 8.62 seconds in the finals. That mark ranks fourth in Roanoke annals.
- The Maroons also placed fourth in the 4x400 relay, where Bitzer, Bryson Hill, Lorenzo Camobreco and Brandon Heffinger clocked in at 3:24.53, good for the second-fastest time in school history.
- Ian Fellows registered a fifth-place showing in the mile, coming in at 4:24.30.
- In the 3,000m, Matt Garis placed seventh overall with a personal-best time of 8:44.46.
- Jim Sarsfield capped the scoring for the Maroons with an eighth-place finish in the shot put, launching a PR throw of 13.33m.
- Cody Roupe (high jump), Sarsfield (weight throw) and the distance medley relay team of Fellows, Heffinger, Seth Perry and Adrian Shiguango-Holtz all earned All-ODAC designations during the first day of action on Saturday.
- Roanoke placed fourth overall on the team leaderboard with 69 points, tying for the best finish since 2010. Lynchburg handily won the team championship with 213 points, finishing 112 points clear of second-place Washington and Lee (91 points). Bridgewater came in third with 78 markers.
