Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SALEM --- Roanoke Softball won two games on Saturday in the second afternoon of games in the Roanoke Valley Softball Bash held at the Moyer Complex.  The Maroons, who increased their win-streak to five-straight, improve to 9-3 on the season.

Leona Rainey led the charge against SUNY-Old Westbury in the 9-1 victory.  The junior outfielder went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, three runs and three stolen bases.  Alea Bier was 2-for-3 with a double in addition to scoring three runs, drove in a pair of runs and stole two bases.

Hollee Warlitner and Alexis Roop collected two base hits each while Stephanie Clark hit a two-run homer in the top of the fourth which highlighted the five-run inning.

Kelly Higbie (8-3) went the distance for the 11^th time this season, striking out 10 batters while giving up two hits and two walks.

Rainey was at it again in the second game of the afternoon as the Maroons won, 10-1 in five innings against Huntingdon.  The 2011 NFCA All-American finished 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI and three stolen bases to move into second all-time with 74.  She needs 19 more to break the career stolen bases record. 

Caitlin Manuel went 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI while Roop and Warlitner collected two hits each for the second-straight game.

Higbie (9-3) earned the win, pitching her 12^th complete game of the season, which now ranks 10^th on the single-season list at Roanoke.

The women will take on Castleton St. at 11 a.m. tomorrow, followed by a 1 p.m. contest against Hunter College to complete the tournament.  They will be played at the Moyer Complex.
