FOREST, Va. - Sophomore Elias Ammon was named the Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) on Tuesday afternoon. 

Ammon was a part of the distance medley relay and 4x400 relay squads that set new program records at the Finn Pincus Invitational this past weekend. The DMR team is now second in the country and sits atop the conference after posting a time of 10:26.83. The 4x400 team also leads the ODAC and is fifth in DIII with their time of 3:21.32. 

Ammon also won the 800m, setting a new personal record of 1:57.09 in the process. His time also paces the conference in the event. 

Ammon and the rest of the track & field team will be in action this Friday (Jan. 23) as they head to the Liberty Open.
