The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country Committee has revealed the participants for the 2025 outdoor national championships, and Roanoke College had five athletes selected to compete across four events.
On the men's side,
Brady Fowler,
Amari Carter,
Drew Bitzer and
Bryson Hill will represent the Maroons, while
Ophelia Ladner qualified in the women's 400m hurdles. The NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships will take place in Geneva, Ohio from Thursday-Saturday, May 22-24.
Fowler, who will be making his fifth appearance at a national championship meet across the indoor and outdoor seasons, will compete in both the 100m and 200m. He currently ranks seventh in the country in the 100m (10.35 seconds) and ninth in the 200m (21.04). Fowler earned Second Team All-America honors in the latter event at last year's NCAA outdoor championships.
Carter will join Fowler in the 100m dash, where he is currently tied for 18th at 10.45 seconds. That duo will also team up with Bitzer and Hill in the 4x100 relay, where the Maroons are tied for 12th in Division III at 40.66 seconds.
Ladner qualified for the 400m hurdles after setting a program and Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship meet record with a time of 1:01.93 in Harrisonburg in April. She enters the NCAA meet ranked 22nd in the nation.
This will mark the national championship debut for Carter, Bitzer, Hill and Ladner.
