The Lead: Elias Ammon was the runner-up in the 800m, notching one of three top-five placements for the Maroons' men's track & field squad at the University of Lynchburg.
Highlights:
- Ammon logged a personal-best time of 1:53.75 to land in second place in the 800m. All five Maroons competing in the race established new personal records.
- Dominic McCombs placed fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.05m.
- Matt Garis came in fifth in the 10,000m, clocking in at 32:41.20.
- Cody Roupe logged a season-best height of 1.90m to finish sixth in the high jump.
- In the 1,500m, Ian Fellows' time of 4:08.56 landed him in eighth place.
- Seth Perry set a PR with a time of 15:14.44 in the 5,000m, coming in ninth overall.
- George Davis also clocked a personal-best in the 400m hurdles, placing 10th at 58.51 seconds.
- In the 3,000m steeplechase, Josh Woodley claimed 10th place at 10:18.55.
- Trey Tomlinson finished 12th in the triple jump at 12.34m.
- In the 200m, Bryson Hill notched a PR time of 22.34 seconds to come in 13th, followed by Lorenzo Camobreco (22.36) in 14th and Brandon Heffinger (22.74) in the 19th spot.
- Davis Neel placed 14th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 17.04 seconds.
- Garrett Weaver's PR time of 16:12.93 was good for 16th place in the 5,000m.
- Jonah Hamman set a personal-best in the 400m, registering a mark of 52.78 seconds to finish 20th.
Up Next: Roanoke will compete at Randolph College's WildCat Invitational next weekend.
