The Lead: The Maroons broke the school record in the 4x100 relay and posted multiple personal bests at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in South Carolina.
Meet Highlights:
- The quartet of Amari Carter, Drew Bitzer, Bryson Hill and Brady Fowler established a new program standard in the 4x100 relay with a winning time of 41.13 seconds. They beat out multiple Division I and Division II relay teams to place first overall.
- Carter (10.45 seconds) and Fowler (10.50) also finished fourth and fifth in the finals of the individual 100m. Bitzer clocked a personal-record time of 10.87 seconds in the prelims.
- Bitzer placed sixth in the 200m with a time of 21.88 seconds, while Carter finished 12th in 21.97 seconds. Both times also represented PRs.
Up Next: The Maroons will compete in Lynchburg's Hornet Open and NC State's Raleigh Relays next weekend.
