The Lead: The Maroons recorded five Top 10 finishes in a field featuring athletes from all divisions at VMI's Corps Physical Training Facility.
Highlights:
- Dominic McCombs was the runner-up in the pole vault, logging a mark of 3.91m.
- Cody Roupe posted a height of 1.95m in the high jump, placing third overall in the event. That performance ranks third in program history, and Roupe is currently tied for second in the ODAC indoor standings.
- Brady Fowler registered a conference-leading mark of 21.98 seconds in the 200m, finishing eighth overall and first among Division III runners. Amari Carter's time of 22.66 seconds, which slotted him 27th in the race, is good for seventh in school history. Fowler owns the school record in the event.
- That duo also recorded quality times in the 60m. Carter finished eighth in the prelims at 6.94 seconds, while Fowler's time of 6.91 seconds in the semifinals currently ranks third in the ODAC. All of the athletes who advanced to the finals were from Division I or Division II institutions.
- In the mile, Matt Garis placed ninth in 4:28.31, logging the 10th-fastest time in Roanoke annals.
- Seth Perry finished ninth in the 5,000m with a mark of 15:52.51.
- Elias Ammon came in 14th in the 800m, and his time of 1:58.40 ranks eighth in the ODAC this winter and seventh in school history. Adrian Shiguango-Holtz placed 23rd in 2:01.68.
- In the weight throw, Jim Sarsfield finished 24th overall with a distance of 13.39m.
