NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced its 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-Region honorees, and Roanoke picked up a total of 32 awards between the men's and women's lists.
The men's squad collected 17 All-South Region designations for 11 athletes across a total of 10 events, while the women's team garnered 15 citations for seven Maroons in seven events.
Individually,
Lindsey Hobin racked up a total of five honors to highlight the women's list, and
Ophelia Ladner secured four awards.
DeShawn Austin and
Max Cardwell earned three designations apiece on the men's side.
The top eight individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Athletic.net Descending Order Lists earned all-region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top eight relay teams.
The men's honors featured
Amari Carter in the 100m, Cardwell and
Lorenzo Camobreco in the 400m,
Elias Ammon in the 800m,
Shane Stevens in the 1,500m,
Nathaniel Orban in the 5,000m,
Mitchell Taylor in the 110m hurdles, and Austin in both the 400m hurdles and the long jump.
All-region accolades also went to the 4x400 relay quartet of Austin, Camobreco, Cardwell and
Brandon Heffinger, as well as the 4x100 relay team of Cardwell, Carter,
Bryson Hill and
Sam Linebaugh.
For the women's team, individual citations went to Hobin in the 200m and 400m, Ladner and
Rebecca Carr in the 100m hurdles, Hobin and Ladner in the 400m hurdles and
Claudia Disbrow in the javelin.
Both relay teams were also recognized: the 4x100 squad of Hobin, Ladner,
Nalonda Henderson and
Mae Kaufman, along with the 4x400 quartet of Hobin, Kaufman, Ladner and
Maryrose Molina-Shuman.
Camobreco (400m) and Ladner (400m hurdles) have both qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held in La Crosse, Wisc. this weekend. Action at the national meet gets underway on Thursday.
