Ophelia Ladner missed the cut for the finals by a mere seven-thousandths of a second, claiming Second Team All-America honors at the NCAA outdoor championships.

Notes and Notables
- Ladner finished in 10th place overall and claimed the fourth spot in Heat 2 with a time of 1:01.560. The ninth and final qualifying slot went to Stockton's Emma Petrolia, who clocked in at 1:01.553.
- The performance earned Ladner a Second Team All-America citation in the event for the second straight season, after she placed 12th at the national championship meet in Geneva, Ohio in 2025.
- Ladner's time was just a fraction of a second behind her program and ODAC record of 1:01.55, which she established earlier this month at the Lee Last Chance Qualifier in Cleveland, Tenn. She also set the conference championship record (1:01.93) a season ago en route to the first of her two ODAC titles in the 400m hurdles.
- Natalia Saywer of Buffalo State led the pack during prelims, registering a time of 59.25 seconds. North Central's Alivia Henkel won Ladner's heat with a mark of 59.99.
