SPARKS, Md. - Junior attacker Maddie McDonald of the Roanoke College women's lacrosse team was selected as a Second Team Preseason All-American by USA Lacrosse earlier this week. 

McDonald earned Third Team All-American honors from USA Lacrosse after her performance last season in addition to IWLCA Second Team All-Region and First Team All-ODAC. In 2025, the Massachussetts native led RC in goals and draw controls with 56 and 75 respectively. She also added six assists, 16 ground balls, and nine caused turnovers. 

McDonald and the Maroons get their season started on Feb. 14 when they square off against St. Mary's College of Maryland at Kerr Stadium.
