CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Roanoke College men's cross-country squad finished 11th at the Queen City Invite on Friday evening.

Notes and Notables 

• The 8k race featured plenty of top-level competition with many high level DI, DII, NAIA schools competing. 

• RC placed all five of their point scorers in the top 100 of the 236-person field. 

• Parker Blosser led the way with his 50th placed finish at 25:47.08. 

• Shane Stevens was right behind Blosser in 53rd place with a time of 25:49.9. 

• Ian Fellows and Seth Perry took 66th and 67th as they finished with marks of 26:05.47 and 26:06.04 respectively. 

• Sam Brasler rounded out the top five with his time 26:38.38 to place 93rd. 

• Gabe Ramirez and Garrett Weaver topped off the scoring seven with times of 26:45.9 and 26:57. 

• Blosser, Stevens, and Perry entered the top 25 in program history with their marks in the race. Blosser is placed eighth, Stevens is 10th, and Perry is 16th. They join Fellows who is placed 11th all-time after his time of 25:53.2 at the ODAC Championships last season. 

• Brasler, Ramirez, and Weaver all ran collegiate personal records and their first sub-27-minute races on the evening. 

• Roanoke averaged a time of 26:05 which is faster than their average time at their peak last year of 26:30. 

• 11 of the 16 Maroons racing posted personal records on the course. 

• Maddon Muhammad of Charlotte earned the top spot in the race after putting down a mark of 24:21.81.

"Our guys really stepped up today. Without one of our top guys, they still came out and competed their butts off. They came out here and beat a lot of DII teams! A great start for the 8k!"
