SALEM, Va. - Freshman Nathaniel Orban and junior Ian Fellows finished in the top 35 to grab All-Region honors as the Roanoke College men's cross country team placed seventh at the NCAA South Regionals.

Notes and Notables 

• It is the first time since 2012 that the Maroons have had multiple All-Region honorees on the men's side. 

• Nathaniel Orban was the top finisher for the Maroons, placing 24th with a time of 25:34.70. Orban became the highest placing Maroon since 2022 when Cooper Neeble took 21st. 

• Orban was also just one of three freshmen to earn All-Region honors at this race. 

• Ian Fellows moved up to ninth in the program record book as he ran a personal best time of 25:49.10 to take 28th. 

• Fellows had major improvements in this race from last season as he dropped nearly two minutes off his time and moved up almost 40 places. 

• Parker Blosser finished in the top-50, running a 26:29.40 to take 48th. 

• Gabe Ramirez ran a personal best of 26:34.40 to take 51st. 

• Beau Brebner completed the scoring five with his time of 27:01.70 to finish 66th. 

• Jackson Coombes and Sam Brasler rounded out RC's seven with times of 27:03.60 and 28:16.50. 

• As a team, Roanoke cut 50 points and moved up a spot from their 2024 finish in this race. 

Up Next 
The Maroons will now play the waiting game. Their season as a team is over, but Orban and Fellows have a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships with some help. Should Lynchburg and Pfeiffer join the region's winner, Washington & Lee, as at-large team selections, Orban could be the last individual qualifier to make the cut. If Emory joins those three schools as an at-large team, both Orban and Fellows could qualify for the NCAA Championships. The full championship field is expected to be announced by 3:00 pm on Sunday (Nov. 16).
