FOREST, Va. - Nathaniel Orban of the Roanoke College men's cross country team was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Rookie of the Year as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
Orban previously earned ODAC Rookie of the Meet honors after being the highest placing freshman at the ODAC Championships. He also took home First Team All-ODAC after placing sixth at the ODAC Championships and All-Region accolades after finishing 24th at the NCAA South Regionals.
Orban becomes the first Maroon to sweep the cross country rookie awards since the Rookie of the Meet award was added in 2021. He is also the first Rookie of the Year honoree since Ian Robinson in 2007 and the second overall in program history.
