BRIDGEWATER, Va.  - Freshman Shane Stevens won the individual title as, for the second consecutive year, the Roanoke College men's cross-country team won the title at the Eagle Cross Country Challenge.

Notes and Notables 

• Roanoke took all five of the top spots to compile the lowest score possible of 15. 

• RC also placed 10 runners in the top 15.

• The top three finishers were all freshman with Shane Stevens taking the individual title at 19:16.0 on the 6k course. Nathaniel Orban was behind him by just .1 seconds, and Parker Blosser finished third at 19:34.6. 

• Ian Fellows cut 40 seconds off his time at this meet last season to place fourth with a time of 19:57.6 

• Gabe Ramirez rounded out the scoring with his time of 20:02.1 to earn fifth place. 

• The rest of the Maroons in the top 15 finished as follows: Sam Brasler (6th, 20:06.7), Garrett Weaver (8th, 20:18.9), Aaron Massey (11th, 21:00.3), Beau Brebner (13th, 21:04.5), and Daniel Roman (15th, 21:11.2) 

• Weaver, RC's seventh finisher this year finished faster than the Maroons top finisher in 2024. 

• Last year at this race, the men average 20:35. This year they shaved nearly a minute off with an average of 19:38.

"Really pumped for our men! We showed off our depth today, getting the perfect score without some of our top guys competing. We executed well, packed up, and ran together.
