The Lead: The Roanoke men's track & field team notched a pair of second-place performances at Bridgewater's Rockingham Collegiate Classic.
Highlights:
- Jim Sarsfield finished as the runner-up in the weight throw with a distance of 15.83m.
- Ian Fellows led a five-runner contingent in the mile, placing second overall in 4:22.77. Seth Perry (4:22.91) and Elias Ammon (4:24.48) finished back-to-back in fourth and fifth, while Gabe Ramirez (4:38.48) landed in 12th place and Sam Brasler (4:39.17) came in 15th. All five Roanoke times represented personal records, while Fellows, Perry and Ammon now rank fifth, sixth and seventh in program history.
- Adrian Shiguango-Holtz placed 11th in the 800m at 2:05.41.
- Evyn Hughes came in 16th in the shot put with a personal-best mark of 11.04m.
