Track & field releases indoor and outdoor slate

SALEM, Va. - Roanoke College's Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, Derek Workman, announced the Maroons' 2025-26 track & field schedule on Friday afternoon.

"We're really excited to get the season underway," exclaimed Coach Workman. "We have several home meets during the indoor season, which is always nice to not have to travel every weekend. We will have plenty of opportunities to mix it up against some of the best collegiate athletes across all divisions and in the region throughout the season. It should be a really fun track & field season for the Roanoke Maroons!"

RC starts their indoor slate on opening weekend at the Liberty Kickoff (Dec. 4-5). Roanoke is set to host four meets during the indoor season: Finn Pincus Invite (Jan. 16-17), Bast-Cregger Multi Invite (Jan. 30-31), Joe LaRocco Invite (Feb. 14), and the ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 28-Mar. 1).

After the ODAC Championships, the squad will have one last chance for a tune-up at the Shenandoah Qualifier (Mar. 6-7) before the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Mar. 13-14 in Birmingham, Alabama.

The outdoor schedule starts soon after indoor ends with RC making their way to the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite (Mar. 19-21) and the W&L Carnival (Mar. 20-21) that first weekend.

Roanoke then makes their way across Virginia and North Carolina through the outdoor campaign before kicking off the postseason at the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Apr. 24-25 at Eastern Mennonite.

The Maroons also have five final qualifier meets lined up across four states to get athletes prepped for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 21-23 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
