LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Roanoke College women's track & field began their 2025-26 indoor campaign at the Liberty Kickoff.

Notes and Notables 

• Senior Sarah Fuchs was the second placing DIII competitor in the weight throw, placing 12th with a distance of 13.87m. She was also the top DIII placer in the shot put, recording a distance of 10.88m for 20th.

• Olivia Viers placed 13th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.12. She also took 20th in the long jump with a distance of 5.11m. 

• Maya Herndon led RC in the 5,000m race with her time of 19:39.59 to take third. 

• Ophelia Ladner placed ran a 1:01.15 in the 400m to place 14th. 

Up Next 
Some of the squad travels to the JDL Early Bird Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Sunday (Dec. 7). Field events are set to start at 9:30 am and track events will begin at 10:00 am.
