BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman Maya Herndon took 16th place as the Roanoke College women's cross-country team finished 16th overall at the Paul Short Run on Friday.

Notes and Notables 

• Roanoke moved up four spots in the Women's College Green 6k race from their 20th place finish in 2024 and dropped over 100 points off their final team score. 

• Maya Herndon paced the team, and most of the competition for that matter, as she finished 16th in the 286-person field with her time of 23:30.5. 

• Herndon's time also put her seventh all-time in Roanoke's record book 

• Allie Gallaher took 53rd with a time of 24:33.3 to put her 23rd in program history in the 6k. 

• Evelyn Magee was the other Maroon to break into the top 100. She put down a 25:19.6 on the day. 

• Sarah Kochanski and Alaina DeFelice finished on each other's heels with Kochanski taking 135th with a 26:11.2 and DeFelice placing 139th at 26:12. 7. 

• Similarly, Sadie Teer and Madeleine Rhyne took 182nd and 184th with times of 27:10.3 and 27:12.6 to round out RC's top seven. 

• Overall, Roanoke dropped nearly 40 seconds off their team average from this race last year, going from 25:48 to 25:09.
