BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Nathaniel Orban placed in the top 100 for the Roanoke College men's cross country as they competed in the Paul Short Run on Friday evening.

Notes and Notables 

• As a team, the Maroons moved up nine spots from the 36th place finish they posted last season in the Men's College White 8k race. 

• Nathaniel Orban found himself in the top 100 of the 400-person field with a time of 25:28.9 to put him 64th. Orban's time was over 40 seconds faster than RC's top finisher last year. It also places him fifth in the program record book. 

• Orban also ranked seventh among ODAC competitors in the race. 

• Shane Stevens and Parker Blosser found themselves just over the 26-minute mark. Stevens placed 134th with a 26:01.0 and Blosser finished 142nd with a 26:11.0. 

• Sam Brasler and Jackson Coombes rounded out the top five with their times of 26:29.6 and 26:36.2 for 189th and 210th place, respectively. 

• Gabe Ramirez posted a 27:18.2 and Garrett Weaver ran a 27:29.0 to top off the seven scoring positions. 

• All of the teams in the men's race were either nationally or regionally ranked at the DIII level, including the Maroons, who currently sit at fifth in the South region. 

• RC beat out their team average at this race last season, going from 26:47 in 2024 to 26:09 today.
