The Lead: Eastern Mennonite rallied in the ninth scoring four runs to top Roanoke 5-4 despite a strong pitching performance from
Harrison Richards.
How it Happened:- Scott Ellis would score after a Craig Kiley single would bring him in from second to give the Maroons an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
- Roanoke would strike again in the bottom of the fourth inning after a leadoff double from Will Decker would get the action started. A Kiley single would move Decker over to third and Dan Brodeur would bring him in on a sacrifice fly to give RC the 2-0 edge.
- EMU would cut the lead to 2-1 after a Ryan Hedrick single would score Kyle Armstrong.
- Lucas Nowlin singled in the bottom of the seventh and worked his way around the bases eventually scoring on a sacrifice bunt by Will Black.
- EMU would rally in the top of ninth to put across four runs giving them the 5-3 edge.
- Roanoke had its opportunities in the ninth inning, but was only able to scratch across one run after Dean Hermanson would score on a balk.
- Ellis, Nowlin and Kiley led the Maroons at the plate each having two hits.
- Aaron Hooven would pick up his third win of the year for the Royals and Joe Hall would earn his second save of the year.
- Richards would have a quality start on the mound for the Maroons throwing seven innings and only giving up one run.

The Lead: John Ruhlman tosses the first recorded no-hitter in Roanoke College Baseball history as Roanoke splits doubleheader with Eastern Mennonite.
How it Happened:- Roanoke would strike early in game two after a Kiley single would score Sean Guida who reached on a single earlier in the inning.
- The Maroon's five-run third inning was started by a Drew Mikula walk. In the next at bat Joe Larimer hit a double that one-hopped the left field wall and Hermanson would reach base on a walk to load the bases.
- With the bases loaded Eli Sumpter had a two-RBI single up the middle to score Mikula and Larimer. Hermanson would score later in the inning off a single by Guida.
- After Guida stole second, Ellis hit a single to score him and Sumpter to make the score 6-0.
- RC would add two more runs in the fourth and fifth innings to give them an 8-0 lead.
- The no-hitter appeared to be in danger, but Guida's over the head catch in the seventh inning would preserve Ruhlman's no-hitter heading into the final two frames.
- After a 1-2-3 inning in the eighth, Ruhlman was just one inning away from tossing RC's first recorded no-hitter in school history.
- In the top of the ninth, Ruhlman struck out pinch hitter Dean Lowery and had Kyle Armstrong fly out to center field.
- After allowing the next two batters to get on by a walk and an error, Ruhlman was able to strike out the pinch hitter Brendon Salladay to complete the no-hitter.
- Ruhlman went the distance while striking out ten batters and walking five in the Maroons 9-0 victory.
