SALEM, Va. - Freshmen Michael Hetzel and Noah Donaho of the Roanoke College baseball team picked up Third Team All-Region accolades as announced on Tuesday morning.

Hetzel earned Third Team All-Region 6 honors from D3baseball.com while Donaho took home ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Divsion III Region VI All-Region Third Team laurels. Both Maroons were one of just five freshmen in their respective organization's region to take home the honor.

Hetzel adds the award to the Second Team All-ODAC selection he earned earlier this month. The designated hitter was the top bat for the Maroons and one of the ODAC's best this season. Hetzel posted a .412 batting average, a 1.115 OPS, 56 hits, 49 RBIs, and 23 walks over 40 games. He also ended the campaign second in single season RBIs and sixth in single season batting average in the Roanoke's record books.

Donaho combined with Hetzel to help power Roanoke's offense this year. The third baseman started in 39 games for Roanoke and put together a .364 batting average, 1.012 OPS, 55 hits, 42 RBIs, and 37 runs. Donaho also hit eight long balls, placing him seventh in the ODAC and tied him for fouth in single season homers in RC's record book. He adds the All-Region honor to the Third Team All-ODAC nod he picked up just a few weeks ago.
