Maroon women's soccer earns Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The Roanoke College women's soccer team earned the 2025-26 College Team Academic Award Friday for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the academic year.

The Maroons, under head coach Phil Benne, compiled a team GPA of 3.58.

A total of 777 soccer teams (326 men, 451 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year. Of that total, 175 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

Roanoke opens the 2026 season by hosting the RC Invitational September 4-5 in Kerr Stadium with Lynchburg, Hope and Maryville.
