SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College women's lacrosse gets ready to take on the ODAC playoffs as they open with a quarterfinal matchup against the Bridgewater Eagles on Tuesday.

The Matchup 

• When these teams met just 10 days ago in Bridgewater, the Maroons came out victorious by a score of 19-7. 

• This is also a rematch of last season's ODAC Quarterfinal, in which RC came out on top, 20-3. 

• Bridgewater earned their spot in the quarterfinal after taking down Virginia Wesleyan, 10-4, in the first-round game. 

• The winner of this match will travel to No. 2 Randolph-Macon on Friday (May 1). The victor will then advance to the ODAC Championship which is slated for Sunday (May 3). 

Notes and Notables 

• The Maroons enter the playoffs on a hot streak after claiming two dominant victories over Sewanee and Shenandoah last week. 

• Maddie McDonald so far this season has shown why she was selected as a Preseason All-American. The junior is currently top 10 in the nation in goals and goals per game with 74 and 4.35 respectively. Her team leading 92 points and 78 draw controls also put her at second and fourth in the ODAC in the categories. 

• Zoe Blair has also been a consistent part of the Maroons' attack, recording at least three points in 12 of RC's 17 games this year. 

• On the defensive side, Jordan Wheeler and Liza Fergusson have had standout campaigns. The pair lead Roanoke in both ground balls and caused turnovers and are top 10 in the ODAC in both categories. 

• The Maroons also have a handful of underclassmen on both sides of the ball that will also look to continue some of their key contributions as of late.
