SALEM, Va. – The Roanoke College football team had six players honored Tuesday with the release of the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
The Maroons honored were:
Charlie Davis,
Nathan Johnson,
Lane Shoemaker,
Silas Fitzgerald,
Ethan Cyr and
Arlie VanDyke.
Davis, a linebacker, is a sophomore education major from Radford, Va. Johnson majors in health and exercise science and is a sophomore offensive lineman from Salem, Va. Shoemaker, a sophomore health and exercise science major is a defensive back from Roanoke. Va. Fitzgerald, a senior elementary education major, is an offensive lineman from Roanoke. Cyr, a sophomore, business administration major, is a sophomore kicker from Stuarts Draft, Va. VanDyke, a sophomore long snapper from Stanardsville, Va., is a health and exercise science major.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
