The Lead: Throwers from the Roanoke men's track & field team took part in Eastern Mennonite University's Heritage Invitational over the weekend.
Highlights:
- Jim Sarsfield placed fifth overall in the hammer throw with a mark of 45.51m.
- Evyn Hughes finished sixth in the shot put with a distance of 11.91m. He also carded a throw of 34.23m to take seventh place in the javelin, and he notched a 14th-place performance in the discus at 27.40m.
- Aidan Vigus came in 11th in the hammer throw (35.08m), 13th in the javelin (31.27m) and 16th in the discus (27.40m).
Up Next: Roanoke will be in action at Randolph College's WildCat Invitational next weekend.
