The Basics:

Place:  3^rd (C) and 6^th (B) of 7 teams
Results:  Round One: 301 – C / 314 - B Round Two: 317 – C / 318 - B
Location: Farmville, Va. (Manor Golf Club
 
The Lead: Roanoke College sent a B and C team to Farmville to compete at the Manor Spring Invitational hosted by Hampden-Sydney. RC would see three in the top 10 and five in the top 20 of the two-day event at the 6,647 yard, par 72 layout.   
 
How it Happened:
 
Round One:

• Freshman Sam Dolan was in the lead after shooting a 4-under par 68 on the opening day. Sophomore Will Miele posted at 1-over 73.
• Sophomore Ryne Bond and junior Brett Chodos each carded a 76 with Andrew Garcia recording a 79.

 
Round Two:

• Garcia led the Roanoke contingent with a closing round 74 to move up 12 spots to finish 10^th.
• Chodos moved up eight spots with a 75 and claimed the 7^th spot in the 35-golfer field.
• Bond continued his consistent play with a 78 to move into 12^th and Nick Crawford registered a 76 to move into 19^th place.

 
 
Up Next: The RC golfers will travel to Georgia to compete in the largest NCAA DIII golf tournament in the country, the Jekyll Island Collegiate. The three-day event will be help at the Pine Lakes course on March 20-22.
