The Lead: The 2024-25 men's golf season came to a close at the 2025 ODAC Men's golf Championships, April 28-30. The 54-hole championship tournament was held at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. The championship was contest at par 72 and almost 7,000 yards. The Maroons would end the event in 9^th place after shooting 301, 315, and 303 in the toughest conference tournament in the country. At the conclusion of the event, senior Palmer Cuny wrapped up a stellar Roanoke career by being named All-ODAC for the third time as well as winning one of the 18 flags handed out during the Conference Championship.
 
How it Happened:
 
Round One:

• Freshman Andrew Garcia led Roanoke with an even par 72 while Cuny posted a 1-over par 73.
• Fellow freshmen Sam Dolan (77) and Nick Crawford (79) rounded out the first day scoring for RC.

 
Round Two:

• Roanoke struggled on the greens during a send day that would see the quartet use over 130 putts during the round.
• Cuny was low man with a 5-over 77 and freshman Dylan Lachaine carded a 6-over 78.
• Garcia and Dolan rounded out the lineup with 8-over par rounds.

 
Round Three:

• Cuny started round three with a double bogey on his first hole but rebounded throughout the afternoon. On his 17^th hole, the senior rolled in a 30-foot birdie to get back to even par and finished out his career with a 72.
• Garcia was 2-over at 74 while Dolan added a 76. Crawford rounded out the four-man score of 303.

 
Awards:

• For the third time in his illustrious Roanoke College career, Cuny was named All-ODAC, as voted on by the league's coaches.
• Due to his professional manner, Cuny was also named to the 2025 ODAC Men's Golf All-Sportsmanship team.
• With his 6-over 222, Cuny finished the tournament in a tie for 14^th place and collected one of the 18 All-Tournament flags handed out to the top 18 finishers at the event.
