The Short Story: The Roanoke College golf team opened the 2025-26 season this weekend with a fifth-place finish at the 19-team, three-round Transylvania Fall Invitational. The Maroons shot better each round and were paced by sophomore
Dylan Lachaine's ninth-place finish.
Inside the numbers:
*Lachaine shot par 72s in each of the first two rounds and finished with a two-over 74 for a 218.

Nick Crawford fired a 223 to tie for 20
th overall, shooting par in his second round.

Brett Chodos came in a tie for 26
th with a 224, carding a par 72 in the final round.

Chase Snyder was 32
nd with 225 strokes overall and
Will Miele had the Maroons' best individual round of the weekend, shooting a four-under par 68 in his final outing.
