SALEM, Va. – Roanoke College announced the hiring of
John Greavu Tuesday as the school's Director of Men's and Women's Golf.

Greavu previously served as head golf coach at Bishop England High School in Charleston, South Carolina, where he established one of the state's premier programs. Over nine seasons, his teams captured five state championships, finished runner-up three times, and earned multiple invitational titles. Fourteen of his players went on to compete at the collegiate level. His leadership earned him Lowcountry Coach of the Year honors six times, and in 2019 he guided the South team to victory in the SCACA North-South All-Stars Matches.
The Owner of Circle 18 Golf since June 2018, Greavu will start at Roanoke College on August 3. Circle 18 Golf offers comprehensive player development including swing instruction, tournament preparation, course management strategy and mental game coaching to golfers of all competitive levels.

Greavu has a BBA degree in marketing from Southern Methodist University. Following college, he served as an Assistant Golf Professional in Indianapolis, successfully passing the PGA of America Playing Ability Test, providing swing instruction, and competing in multiple PGA section events and championships. Beyond golf, Greavu brings professional experience in business and international marketing.
He and his wife, Lori, have been married for 28 years. Lori owns and operates Boom Advertising Agency. They have three children— Mackenzie, Chandler, and Christian—and a Wheaten Terrier named Ryder.
