SALEM, Va. – Roanoke College sophomore linebacker Charlie Davis earned a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week for the week of October 14.

Davis, also the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Defensive Player of the Week, finished with 14 tackles, 12 of them solo, plus had a forced and recovered fumble to help Roanoke get past Bridgewater College on the road, 24-14 Saturday. He had one and a half tackles for loss and a sack in the win.

For the season, Davis leads the Maroons with 50 tackles, including 34 solo stops and 4.5 tackles for loss and one sack. He has forced two fumbles, recovered one and is credited with one quarterback hurry.

The Maroons (4-1/2-1) host Shenandoah University Saturday at 2 p.m. in Salem Stadium.
