Maroon FB defeats Gallaudet 38-14 to move to 3-0

The Short Story: The Roanoke College football team moved to 3-0 on the season Saturday with a 38-14 win over visiting Gallaudet University at Salem Stadium.
 
It was the Maroons' first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game in program history.

 How it happened:
*The Maroons got on the board early as Ethan Cyr connected on a 27 yard field goal at 11:04 of the first quarter.
*Lane Shoemaker intercepted his second pass of the day early in the second quarter and the Maroon offense capitalized as Tyson Miller scored from seven yards out to put RC up 10-0.
*Miller finished a 75-yard drive with a one-yard carry later in the quarter to give the Maroons a 17-0 lead.
*The Bison scored a touchdown in the final minute of the first half and RC took a 17-7 lead at halftime.
*Malcolm Levenberry took a 10-yard pass from Kam Hill midway through the third period to make it a three-score game.
*Polo Hill scored on an 18-yard run late in the third and Kam Hill found Grey Deal from 31 yards out to give RC a 38-7 lead .
  
Inside the numbers:
*Kam Hill connected on 19-of-28 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns.
*Polo Hill had 48 yards rushing on nine carries and three catches for 41 yards.
*Deal caught six passes for 115 yards while Khamari Garner snared four for 68 yards.
*Charlie Davis had a team-high seven tackles while Myles Rainey had five stops.
*Wyatt Bach also had an interception.
*Joshua Saaty made eight tackles for Gallaudet (1-2/1-1 ODAC).
*The Maroons outgained the Bison on the afternoon 478-236.
