The Lead: The Roanoke women's track & field team posted a string of season-best performances while competing against athletes from all divisions at VMI.
 
Highlights:

• Tasha Miller recorded a mark of 3.05m in the pole vault, claiming sixth place overall and third among Division III competitors.
• In the triple jump, Cammi Winston notched a 14th-place distance of 10.32m.
• Olivia Viers and Rebecca Carr were the top two Division III finishers in the 60m hurdles. Viers placed 16th in the semifinals with a time of 9.41 seconds, followed by Carr in 17th at 9.44.
• Sarah Fuchs came in 18th in the weight throw with a toss of 12.87m.
• Three Maroons logged solid times in the 400m, led by Maryrose Molina-Shuman in 20th place overall at 1:01.87. Lindsey Hobin clocked in at 1:02.51 to finish 24th, with Ophelia Ladner in 32nd at 1:04.16.
• Eleanor Hinckley placed 23rd in the 200m with a time of 26.84 seconds. Nadira Cantey (27.27) and Nalonda Henderson (27.33) finished back-to-back in 37th and 38th.
• Viers also recorded a mark of 4.81m in the long jump, landing in 26th place.
• Henderson registered a time of 8.04 seconds to finish 30th in the preliminary rounds of the 60m.
