The Lead: Washington and Lee scored 14 of the final 15 goals as it took a 16-5 win over Roanoke Wednesday afternoon in ODAC Women's Lacrosse action.

How it Happened

• Roanoke went up 2-0 on back-to-back goals by Meredith Bigelow, then pushed ahead 3-0 on a Nicole Zelnik strike with just over 19 minutes to go in the half.
• Back-to-back goals by Washington and Lee made it 3-2 before Zelnik scored to make it 4-2 with just under nine minutes to play.
• W&L scored the final five goals of the half to take a 7-4 lead, then scored the first five goals of the second-half to put the game away.
• The Generals grabbed 18-of-23 draw controls and held a 45-13 edge in shots.
• RC goalkeepers Victoria Smith and Emma Blair combined for 15 saves with nine and six, respectively.
