The Lead: Roanoke scored 14 goals in the first 25 minutes into the game en route to a 19-4 ODAC win over Randolph on Saturday afternoon in Salem.
How it Happened: - Ten different Maroons scored with Meredith Bigelow getting a game-high four goals in the win. Claire Feeney and Nicole Zelnik each had three strikes, while Allison Beames had two goals and dished out four assists. Courtney McCartin recorded seven assists that ranks in a tie for the fifth most in a single game in RC history.
- RC held a 32-7 edge in shots and 17-11 in groundballs. The Roanoke defense allowed Randolph to convert just 5-of-17 clears on the day. Emma Boris had three groundballs, three draw controls and three caused turnovers on the defensive end for the Maroons.
- Roanoke won 18-of-25 draw controls led by Jordan Visser who nabbed a team-high four.
- Taylor Riccardi and Nicole Dorton each scored two goals for Randolph, while Ashton Ewers made six saves.
- Claire Feeney scored 42 seconds into the game and it proved to be the first of seven goals by the Maroons in the first five minutes of play.
