Box Score LEXINGTON --- Roanoke fell to Washington and Lee, 20-5 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship game Sunday afternoon. The Maroons end their season, 11-7, while the Generals earn an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament with a 15-4 mark.

Roanoke, playing in the sixth ODAC Title game in seven years, fell short of its bid for an 11^th conference crown. Washington and Lee, which is ranked 15^th in the IWLCA national poll, won its conference-best 13^th ODAC Championship. It's the Generals' ninth title in 10 seasons.

Facing off for the 35^th time, the Generals upped their series lead to 23-12, including the fifth-straight over the Maroons. This also marked the 14^th time these two teams have met in the ODAC Tournament, with W&L owning an 8-2 advantage in conference title games.

Up 8-3 at the half, W&L outscored the Maroons, 12-2 in the second stanza en route to finish the season, 11-0 against conference opponents.

Lauren Curtin collected 10 saves for Roanoke in goal. Laura Zdziarski finished with three saves in relief as she moved into eighth on the career saves list (109).

Jamie Golden scored three times while Kathleen Wager scored twice to lead Roanoke. Both Wager and Darragh Evarts won three draw controls. Wager, who moved into fifth all-time in draw controls (120), is also eighth in career caused turnovers (62). Evarts' 61 draw controls this season is the fifth-highest single-season total and is a new freshman-record.

Allison Bonanno had one assist on the afternoon to move into fourth all-time in that category (78), while her 46 this season is the second-highest total in program-history. She became the fourth player at RC to eclipse over 100 points as the sophomore is only 11 points shy of 10^th on the career scoring list (157).

Roanoke had Bonanno, Curtin and Elizabeth Hartge named to the 2012 Women's Lacrosse All-ODAC Tournament Team.

The Maroons, winners of seven of the last eight games heading into this contest, have earned at least 10 wins for the 20^th time in program-history. Schwartz will enter next season needing only four wins to become the winningest women's lacrosse coach for Roanoke. Tracy Coyne (1990-96) is the all-time wins leader for the program with 91 victories.
