How It Happened  

• The Maroons opened the scoring in the 36th minute as Michael Pickens sent a ball across the box to find Will Demus in front of the goal, who finished past the keeper.  

• Not even 40 seconds after the first goal, Pickens sent a through ball to Carlos Lomena, who took the first-time shot outside the 18-yard box, which soared over the keeper.  

• Lomena scored his second of the game in the 40th minute as Jack Garwood lobbed the ball into the box for Lomena, who juggled the ball twice as he turned his body to take the shot on frame.  

• Roanoke scored their fourth goal in the final nine minutes of the first half as Slate Danforth scored off a rebound from a free kick taken by Peyton Mancini. 

• Lomena completed his hat-trick in the 64th minute on a cross from Logan Lavinder.  

Notes and Notables  

• Four different Maroons recorded an assist.  

• John Carter Austin and Nicholas Robertson each got 10 minutes in goal in the second half.  

• Ben Jones, Mathew Melis, Christian Robertson, and Ayden Sours all made their first appearance of the season.  

• William Peace had the advantage over Roanoke in shots, 15-10, while each had three corners.
