FOREST, Va. – Roanoke College senior goalie Grace Suchy earned Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week of September 14.

Suchy played two solid games between the pipes for the Maroons last week. She made five  stops Wednesday in a 1-0 RC win at Southern Virginia University to record the shutout.

Suchy and the Maroon defense held Gettysburg College scoreless for over 83 minutes Sunday, but fell 1-0. She made seven saves against the Bullets.
For the season, Suchy has a 0.75 goals against average with 17 saves.

Roanoke (2-1-2) opens Old Dominion Athletic Conference play Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Randolph-Macon College.
