Merrin Vespucci Paxson scores in the final minute to lead RC past Kenyon

Gambier, Ohio - Merrin Vespucci Paxson finds the back of the goal in the final minute of gameplay to help Roanoke beat Kenyon 1-0.

How It Happened  

  • Merrin Vespucci Paxson scored her second goal of the season in the final minute of the game off a deflection in front of the goal.  

Notes and Notables  

  •  Chloe Miller recorded the clean sheet in goal, facing only two shots. 

  • RC had the advantage in shots, 10-2, and penalty corners, 6-1.  

  • Sofia Chaves made eight saves in goal for the Owls.  

Up Next  
RC will return home next Sunday (Sept. 20) to host Goucher in their home opener. The game is set to start at Noon.
