How It Happened  

  • Stokes McConnell broke the tie right before halftime as he took a shot outside of the 18-yard box.  

  • The Tigers doubled their lead in the 75th minute as Peyton Mancini tried to slide and clear the ball on the line; however, there was too much on it.  

Notes and Notables  

  •  Six Maroons registered a shot in the match; Slate Danforth's was the only one on goal.  

  • Denzel Marufu played all 90 minutes and made 9 saves in goal.

The Maroons will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina on Tuesday (Sept. 15) to face William Peace in a non-conference match kicking off at 7 p.m.
