The Short story: The Roanoke College football team scored 28-straight points Saturday to post a 28-14 win over visiting Greensboro College in non-conference play.

Linwood Johnson was a part of all four RC touchdowns and the Maroon defense allowed no points on the afternoon as the Pride scored on interception and fumble returns.
How it happened:
*Greensboro intercepted a pass for a touchdown to open the scoring but RC scored 28 unanswered points before halftime.

Linwood Johnson found
Grey Deal on a three-yard scoring strike and the game was tied after one quarter of play.
*Johnson hit
Khamari Garner for a 47-yard score and found Deal again for an 11-yard touchdown to push the RC lead to 21-7 midway through the second quarter.
*Johnson took it into the end zone himself for an eight-yard rushing touchdown just before intermission.
*The Pride's Kali Marcus returned a fumble 40 yards for a score with just eight ticks left in the third quarter to cut the lead to 14.
Inside the numbers:
*Johnson completed 11-of-17 passes for 176 yards and three TDs and ran for another score.

Jerrett Shepherd ran 20 times for 54 yards and
KJ Bratton had two catches for 61 yards.
*Roanoke allowed just 175 yards of total offense and had seven sacks.

JaePharoah Carpenter and
Gavin Thompson each were credited with 1 ½ sacks.
