Raleigh, N.C. - The Roanoke College Field Hockey team earns their first win of the 2026 campaign after a high-scoring season opener.

How It Happened  

  • Roanoke scored four goals in the first half of the game.  

  • Megan Ingenito got a goal back for Meredith just before the half.  

Notes and Notables  

  • Harris scored three goals in only 25 minutes of game time in her first career game. 

  • Merrin Vespucci-Paxson scored her first career goal in the first half.  

  • Maddy Holmes recorded an assist while Robertson and Orlando each recorded two assists. 

  • The Maroons outshot the Avenging Angels 46 to 12.  

  • Meredith's keepers, Lyla Burdine and Jasmin Solar, recorded a combined 20 saves.
